Sub-Base Installation: 81 tonnes of Type 1 MOT (50mm to dust) compacted in layers to form a strong, permeable base, ensuring long-term durability and resistance to movement. 15 tonnes of Grano dust (0-6mm aggregate mix) to create a stable and level screed layer for precision block laying. 3 tonnes of Sharp sand (concreting sand) applied to provide a flexible and secure edging layer for block paving, ensuring even weight distribution. Weed Prevention & Drainage Protection: Installation of six layers of high-quality weed-proof membrane, positioned strategically to inhibit weed growth while maintaining proper drainage flow. With ACO channel drain installed to efficiently manage surface water runoff, preventing pooling and ensuring proper drainage away from the driveway. Block Paving & Finishing Materials: Omega 60mm blocks, designed for heavy domestic use, offering high compressive strength, aesthetic appeal, and weather resistance. 1 tonne of Master-grade cement used for strong, durable edge restraints and jointing, ensuring structural integrity and preventing block movement over time.
